The Oak Hotel and Suites

Great location! Spotless cleanliness! Spacious rooms! This is a 5 Star Hotel! I travel for work, staying somewhere new every couple of weeks. Hands down the nicest place I have had the pleasure of staying in this past year!! The room had everything I could ever need. This is my Nelson go to. Great location in the heart of town. All the shops are minutes walk away. Food is steps from the room. Extremely pleased customer!!! I will never stay anywhere else!

Wonderful location right on the main street in Nelson. Clean, modern unit with comfy bed. All the small details attended to. Parking is a little difficult to manoeuvre, but the staff have some helpful tips. A very nice, reasonably priced, botique hotel with history.

Fantastic location on the main street of town, walking distance to everything. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was cozy, quiet and well designed. Comfortable bed, high end linens and towels, nice toiletries, mini fridge. Basic but great continental breakfast, and coffee in the room. All in all an awesome experience!

We had a lovely experience at the beautiful, new Oak Hotel. Room was lovely - adorned with “Silk & Snow” brand soft fluffy towels, bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom amenities were all-natural and smelled heavenly (lemongrass, mint & rosemary essential oils - wow!). Continental breakfast was great (bagels, muffins, yogurt, cereal, fruit, hard boiled eggs, assorted jams, juice, coffee, tea!). Local art throughout the hotel for purchase. Staff were hospitable and kind. We would love to visit again another year.

We enjoyed our stay at Oak Hotel. It is all brand new, nicely decorated and excellent value. We booked a King room which provided lots of space for our 2 bags and a mini fridge to cool our beverages. The bed, pillows and linens were very luxurious & comfortable. Towels are fluffy and soft. The bathroom toiletry amenities are Rocky Mountain Soap Company which have fabulous products. The lighted anti fogging mirror in the bathroom is a lovely touch! Coffee/tea is provided in the room. The location is ideal for exploring lovely Nelson BC. Thank you for the hospitality.

This hotel exceeded our expectations. Truly felt like refreshing staying here. They use Rocky Mountain soap company products which was a pleasant surprise. We love locally sourced products with minimal waste (no single use). The location made all of Nelson so walkable. The only downside is parking in Nelson is at a premium but the hotel did provide some great suggestions. We will definitely stay here again!

We stayed 2 nights. Very clean, quiet, nice rooms. Nice little continental breakfast. Staff were fantastic. Very pleased with the experience overall. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who asked. Parking can be a bit of an issue if you are there during the day. Rooms are all on second floor, no elevator available, so rooms are not accessible for all.

Came for a little staycation and the place was great. Nice modern rooms with comfortable beds and pillows. Still right on Baker St. But far enough down that it’s nice and quiet. Service was amazing. Aoife was incredibly helpful and pleasant. Will definitely return when staying in Nelson again

A nicely renovated hotel in a great location in downtown Nelson. The rooms were nicely furnished with a coffee maker with coffee, tea, sugar and cream. A microwave and fridge. The bathroom was supplied with shampoos and lotions that were available for purchase at the front desk should you find them to your liking. A continental breakfast is served. The staff on-site was very helpful. It was a pleasant experience overall

Lovely little hotel right in the center of Nelson! Extremely clean, with a focus on Canadian made products, which was a nice touch. The staff were all lovely and gave us incredible recommendations for food, beaches and a secret waterfall that really made our trip! The only thing was our room only had one tiny window which looked into other guests windows so it felt a bit confined in there and it always felt a bit humid and our towels etc. didn’t dry. For the great price, I will definitely be back!
